Benjamin Pearce has obviously walked in the shoes of each department from the bottom to the top . . . workers to investors . . . to know the senior living industry one can do the same by reading this book – it is a goldmine of information for the novice and the expert. “Here’s to you Pearce” for an brilliant book!

Pearce has done an brilliant job of writing a sentinel primer for managing long-term care communities. The details are all there. Of even greater importance, the details are presented within the context of critical principles that distinguish the brilliant community from the average or mediocre. As a faculty member responsible for a number of long-term care management courses at two schools of public health, this is one of a very limited number of texts that I assign as “must reads” for my students.
